Today is Hideki Matsui’s birthday.. Happy birthday, and get well soon…

As Terry (Donald Pleasence) Francona said "You pitched your butt off" Great performance by David Pauley… Seriously..Just lost his way in the 7th. Rudy Seanez didn’t help too much. 2-1 Yanks top of 8th

Manny being Manny and Melky being ……just feckin superb. Words can’t describe it. What a catch.. Oh my God..

Lights out… What an excellent game of baseball.. 2-1 Yankees.. Pauley did not deserve to lose tonight. He is one bright star for the Sox…

V9fkcbhf1Isn’t that just feckin wonderful. Mariano Rivera has back spasms, from tying his shoelaces !!!!!! no less. He is listed day-to-day-, although it may take up to a week to recover, Jeez…

In the name of all that’s good and Holy, what else can go wrong….. Let me ponder…. Hmmmmm, Robinson Cano and Melky Cabrera will strain their thumbs playing X-BOX.. A-Rod will damage knee cartilage, dancing in some up-market nightclub in Chelsea.. Andy Phillips gets flash burn in his eyes, from the paparazzi’s cameras.. Miguel Cairo suffers from severe migraines, from not knowing what position he is playing.. Kelly Stinnett is kidnapped by a gang of Oompa Loompa’s, and held hostage in Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory.. Jaret Wright just gets injured again. After all I’m sure the nurses are missing him.. Randy becomes very Randy and………. I won’t go there.. The Moose gets shot in hunting season and Chein-Ming Wang gets home sick..

It may sound humorous (or not), but the way this season is going, nothing is beyond the realms of the imagination. As I said Yesterday, It’s the "Yankee Voodoo curse"…..

The Yankees placed OF Gary Sheffield on the 15-day DL Thursday, retroactive to May 30, and recalled OF Kevin Thompson from Columbus

My good friend over at RED SOX CHICK, has an ongoing project of sending slumping players postcards to cheer them up and encourage them out of their slump.

Now seeing as we are decimated by injuries at the moment, (Jeter is out tonight aswell as Sheff and Damon), I propose we copy cat Cyn’s idea but with a slight difference. We should send, get well soon cards, to our injured players..

The address is:

16st street & river ave.

BRONX, NY10451.

Come on folks, It’s a great idea. Sorry Cyn for robbing your Idea..

Lets go Yankees..

Fhbkw8xp1So Gary Sheffield has been shut down for at least another 2 days.. Possibly returning to the DL, with yet another wrist injury !!!! He couldn’t even grip the bat for BP last night. This time it’s in a different position on the wrist.. WHAT??? Bruised on 2 different sides of the wrist ?? Gary what are you doing to your wrist, (innuendos are springing to mind). The option on his contract must certainly be in the balance now.

With so many excellent out fielders in the majors, who could easily adapt to rightfield available, and with their contracts due up soon, Sheffs future must be in severe doubt now.. It would be a sad goodbye to Gary, if he did indeed move to another club. Bernie can’t go on forever, sadly, so it’s either DH or goodbye, I’m afraid, for Sheffield..

Next debate is WHO do we get.. Hideki will be back, and Melky is just playing like all the Yankee staff said he could, phenomenally.. Bubba will be back aswell so maybe 1 more guy to add dept.

Johnny Damon’s foot is not responding to treatment, but it’s not considered too serious. Just a little rest period needed. After all he did pinch run for Posada last night.

Seems to be no further word on Derek Jeters hand injury. He seemed really bothered with it last night and was the only Yankee to go hitless.. More worries..

Just edited this to bump it to the top, in honor of Derek Jeter

The 8th player to get HIT number 2,000 as a Yankee..

The Crowd goes mental, although it should have been an error!!!!!!!!! Oh I’m a gonner..

Now he steals 2nd.

He scores on an RBI single by A-Rod

He is my GOD, The catalyst of everything Yankee.

Hit #1 off Tim Belcher from Seattle.

Hit #2,000 off Scott Elarton From K.C.

Again Congratulations M.V.P.
